St. Patrick Soccer Celebrates twenty-two athletes on Senior Night!
It was an extra special evening at St. Patrick Catholic High School as they celebrate their soccer senior class! This specific class has been the heart beat of the Fighting Irish pitch for quite a while, as eleven boys and eleven girls are graduating this 2025-26 school year.
Honored first was the historic Lady Irish team! Not only have some been playing varsity since middle school, but this group as a whole has one every State Championship game they’ve played in! That’s three back-to- back state titles, and winning their two middle school state games as well. Obviously they’re not finished as they hope to cap it off four for four when playing in Jackson!
As for the boys, they have six student athletes who are committed to playing at the next level and some that have played Varsity since middle school! They also play year-round on numerous travel teams. After their big win tonight, they’re just one win away from winning a district title in a powerhouse region. Their captains told WXXV what this Fighting Irish soccer program has meant to them after all these years.
We’ll be seeing both of these teams much more as they compete in the playoffs. We look forward to covering their journey’s towards two gold balls!
