Christian Collegiate Academy’s Tahj Hill reaches 1,000 career points

GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV) — Christian Collegiate Academy senior Tahj Hill became the first player in program history to record 1,000 career points in Friday night’s game against Columbia Academy.

The magic moment came just one minute into the game: Hill hit a three-pointer to open up scoring, then followed that up with a tough lay-up on the next possession.

The school stopped play to present Hill with a basketball and a canvas illustrating his accomplishment. The guard spoke to WXXV about the significance of the moment.

“It’s a real blessing,” Hill said. “Not a lot of people get to be in this situation that I’m in, but I’m just blessed, and it’s real good to know that I made history at this school.”

Hill and the Bulldogs will look to finish out the regular season strong and reach postseason play.
