Legislation introduced to honor fallen George County Deputy Jeremy Malone

Congressman Mike Ezell introduced legislation Wednesday to redesignate a United States Postal Service facility in Beaumont, Mississippi.

The legislation formally designates the Beaumont USPS Facility as the Jeremy Malone Post Office, honoring the life and legacy of the George County deputy who was killed in the line of duty on January 4, 2024.

Ezell said that renaming the post office in his honor ensures that his service, character, and dedication to the community will never be forgotten.
