Bridge closure now in effect in Jackson County

JACKSON COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- A section of Pollock Ferry Road in Jackson County is now closed as bridge improvements begin.

The stretch of road between Riverside Drive and Greenfields Road is impacted.

Public works crews are removing metal culverts and installing a new pre-cast concrete bridge.

This project will take about six weeks to complete.

Residents that live south of Riverside Drive will need to access Pollock Ferry Road from Coda Road and residents north will need to access Pollock Ferry Road from Greenfield Road.
