High school wrestling heating up in South Mississippi ahead of South State Duals

ST. MARTIN, Miss. (WXXV) — It’s been a busy season for many high school boys and girls wrestling programs, and that continued on Saturday with the Jacket Rumble at St. Martin High School.

On the girls side, the Ocean Springs Lady Greyhounds came in first place. St. Martin finished in second, and Long Beach placed third.

Meanwhile, Vancleave won the boys match, with Ocean Springs coming in second and St. Martin finishing third.

These programs, and a handful of others, advance to next weekend’s South State Duals, which take place on Saturday at Vancleave High School. A trip to the State Championship in Jackson is on the line!
