Coastal Family Health Center celebrating National Health Center Week

Coastal Family Health Center is celebrating National Health Center Week by hosting several events along the Coast.

This year’s National Health Center Week is honoring those front-line providers, staff, and beloved patients who lost their lives during the COVID-19 pandemic.

From the very beginning of the crisis, community health centers began finding innovative ways to provide preventative and primary code to their patients.

Coastal Family Health Center will be at various locations starting today passing out goodie bags, conducting health screenings, and administering COVID vaccines. Health Information Technology Trainer Jennifer Johnson said, “As a community health center, and especially the way COVID is increasing in numbers, you know it’s really important for us to show not only our support, but to show that we offer the amount of services that we do because we have medical, dental, optometry, women’s health. We do COVID vaccines. We do testing. We pretty much have the whole gamut.”

Tomorrow from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. at Edgewater Mall Coastal Family Health Center’s Biloxi Clinic, pharmacy, and the mobile unit will offer COVID-19 vaccines.

The first 50 people to get vaccinated will receive a $25 Doordash gift card.
