USM’s Dylan Burdeaux leads NCAA in hits

There’s only one player in the entire nation that had more hits than MSU’s Brent Rooker this season and that’s Dylan Burdeaux from Southern Miss.
The everyday first baseman went off during his senior season, leading all of division I baseball with 102 hits. He also led USM in RBI’s out of the leadoff spot with 69 to go along with 12 home runs and 21 stolen bases.
Burdeaux was named Conference USA Player of the Year in 2017 and was later drafted in the 20th round by the Detroit Tigers in the MLB first year player draft earlier this month.
