City of Pascagoula working on water main improvement project

PASCAGOULA, Miss. (WXXV)- The City of Pascagoula is sharing information on a project taking place.

The city council awarded a bid for miscellaneous water main improvements throughout the city.

Crews will work on replacing outdated and undersized water mains in various neighborhoods throughout the city.  The projects will take place on:

  • Lureco Drive
  • New Hope Avenue
  • Pineview Avenue
  • Basswood Street

The public works department helped identify the problem areas. These water mains often seeing leaks and water pressure issues.

Construction is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2026 with additional updates being shared as the project continues.
