Harrison County, Mississippi Power team up for Christmas tree recycling

HARRISON COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- Harrison County has partnered with Mississippi Power to give your Christmas tree a second life and help keep the Coast clean.

Your tree must be real and unflocked. All lights, ornaments, tinsel, and stands must be removed.

Once collected, the trees will be ground into mulch to help strengthen the Coast and beautify the community.

Five drop off locations are available across Harrison County, making participation easy for residents.

Those locations are:

  • Plant Watson, 10406 Lorraine Road, Gulfport
  • Rodenburg Ave. and Hwy. 90, Biloxi
  • Courthouse Road Pier, Gulfport
  • Long Beach Harbor, Long Beach
  • Pass Christian Harbor, Pass Christian

The last day to drop off your Christmas tree is January 10.
