Juvenile shot and in critical condition in Hancock County

A 15-year-old male is arrested and charged with attempted murder after a shooting on Hancock Drive in Hancock County this morning.
A 17-year-old male was shot twice in the head as he was riding his bike on Hancock Drive near East Madison Street around 10:30 this morning.
A 15-year-old was later arrested on East Pike Street. Police say the 15-year-old was in the passenger seat of a vehicle when he allegedly shot the victim.
Some neighbors News 25 spoke with say the recent string of violence is causing them to move out of the area. Others believe tighter gun laws could help. Hancock County resident Earl Robinett said, “Kids are getting on drugs. Kids are getting guns and stuff and people are, I mean, it’s bad out there. They need gun laws, tighten it up you know. Stop people from getting all these guns.”
Police are still investigating a motive and say they have dealt with these two people in the past.
