Saints Report: New Orleans picks up third-straight victory in win over New York Jets

NEW ORLEANS, La. (WXXV) — Sunday marked the New Orleans Saints’ final game in Caesars Superdome for the 2025 season, as the Black and Gold hosted the New York Jets.

It would turn into an exciting afternoon for the Saints faithful who filled the stadium, as the home team would come away with the 29-6 win. It marked their third-straight victory, and the team is now 5-10 on the year.

The teams traded field goals throughout the first half, with New Orleans maintaining a 9-6 lead heading into the locker room. From there, the Black and Gold would bring the heat. With less than a minute to go in the third quarter, quarterback Tyler Shough hit Chris Olave from deep for the first touchdown of the day to go up 16-6.

Kicker Charlie Smyth’s fourth and fifth field goals of the day pushed that lead to 22-6 more than halfway through the fourth quarter. A movie-worthy moment sealed the deal for the Saints — fan-favorite all-around athlete Taysom Hill aired a deep ball out to Olave for the final touchdown of the day. It was a touching moment for Hill, as the well-respected veteran could be looking at his last season with the franchise.

Additionally, defensive end Cameron Jordan is nearing the end of his playing career, though he has yet to make an announcement on whether he will retire at the end of the season or stick around for at least one more year on the gridiron.

The Saints will look to push their winning-streak to four on Sunday, as they visit the Tennessee Titans at noon.
