Powerball jackpot rises to over a billion dollars
The Powerball jackpot has climbed to $1.1 billion, making it the second largest of the year and the 12th jackpot to cross one billion dollars in the past five years.
Though no one took home the jackpot, there were some that didn’t leave empty handed.
Across the country, five ticket holders won a million dollars and two people won two million.
The jackpot pool this time was just over $503 million before taxes, a grow of $74 million since Wednesday.
The next drawing is set for tonight.
