East Central’s Andrea Dowdy signs wrestling scholarship

HURLEY, Miss. (WXXV) — East Central wrestler Andrea Dowdy has made history!

Dowdy became the school’s first female wrestler to receive a college scholarship, and on Monday she put pen to paper to compete at the next level.

Dowdy will attend Washington and Jefferson college in Pennsylvania, where she will wrestle for the school and study nursing.
