12/1 – Showers Overnight, with Drier and Cooler Weather For Tuesday

Meteorologist Sam Lucey has a look at your forecast

Rain and a few thunderstorms continue to move through on Monday night with 1-2″ of rainfall expected and lows dropping to the mid-40s.

Tuesday starts out rather cloudy, but drier, before a few peeks of sunshine return in the afternoon, with a brisk north wind around 10-15 mph keeping highs in the upper 50s. Our highs will likely occur in the early morning hours, and then we’ll be dropping throughout the day, so make sure to grab your jacket as you head out the door on Tuesday. Now, because temperatures will be falling throughout the day, overnight temperatures bottom out in the low to mid 30s, with several areas below freezing for a few hours. Patchy frost is also likely by Wednesday morning.

Wednesday afternoon brings mostly sunny skies and a high near 59, but clouds increase again by the evening ahead of an unsettled stretch of weather. Showers return Thursday and continue off and on through the day on Friday, with a few thunderstorms possible and highs in the upper 50s to low 60s.

The weekend gradually dries out with a few showers lingering into Saturday morning, but the afternoon looks partly sunny with highs in the low 60s. Sunday will be a much drier day with sunshine and highs in the upper 60s, followed by more sunshine on Monday.
