Four George County Rebels sign Baseball Scholarships!

The George County high school gym was the place to be this morning as an outstanding group of young men signed to further their academic and athletic careers. The George County baseball team celebrated big as four athletes officially put pen to paper with their future ball clubs.

This quartet is dominant both on the mound and at the plate, being a part of the 2024 state championship team and making it back to Trust Mark Park the year after that. They want nothing more than that second ring, but now they’ll get the opportunity to play for an NJCAA title after that!

Going left to right, first and third baseman Cayler Havard will be continuing his talents at Reid State Community College, pitcher and outfielder Peyton Havard will be joining the Wolfpack and Co-Lin community college, pitcher and outfielder Carson Pierce says “Perk Up” as he signs with MGCCC and lastly Bradyn Havard is headed to Pop Vegas as he joins Pearl River Community College.

All four athletes told WXXV what this moment means to them and why they chose their future programs. Congratulations again to these George County Rebels and best of luck to each of you during your senior seasons!
