North Woolmarket awarded grant for ‘Shark News’ program

HARRISON COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- North Woolmarket Elementary and Middle School recently won a grant for their Shark News program.

Shark News does a daily morning broadcast for the whole school, including morning announcements, sports highlights, and weather.

Thanks to a grant from the Gulf Coast Community Foundation, the program now has studio lights, furniture, microphones, and a green screen.

WXXV’s Brynne Baxley also visited the 5^th and 6^th grade broadcasting students to share some pointers on covering the news and presenting the weather.
