Contestants compete in Ms. Senior World Pageant in Biloxi

BILOXI, Miss. (WXXV)- Friday night, Biloxi is hosting the sixth annual Ms. Senior World Pageant celebrating women 50 and older for their grace, leadership, and the lasting impact they make in their communities.

The pageant begins at 6 tonight at the Biloxi Civic Center. This event honors women ages 50 to 79 who have served in the military, led nonprofits, and dedicated their lives to helping others.

Unlike traditional competitions, it focuses on interviews, evening gowns, and their personal platforms instead of swimsuits or talent routines.

Contestants from across the nation are advocating for a range of causes.

Organizers say the pageant reflects its mission of women empowering women and the winner will be crowned Saturday evening.
