Molina Healthcare holds community baby shower in Gulfport

GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)- Molina Healthcare of Mississippi and its partners hosted a free community baby shower for new and expecting parents Thursday night.

The event featured baby gifts, bags filled with diapers, wipes, and other essentials, door prizes, food, activities, and plenty of resources.

Molina Healthcare says about 100 expecting parents signed up for the event.

Before the community baby shower began several expectant parents were already enjoying the event. Barbara McGilvery with Molina Healthcare of Mississippi said, “We have vendors that are throughout the room. We’re encouraging all the parents to go by, get the valuable resources, all the health educational information as well as goodies. Although Molina Healthcare brought door prizes, so did our vendors.”

This is the sixth year Molina Healthcare has hosted the event and plans are already in the works for next year.
