Singing River opens new Kids and Tummies Clinic in Gulfport

GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)- A new pediatric specialty care clinic has opened in Gulfport thanks to the partnership between Singing River and Kids and Tummies.

Singing River Kids & Tummies has cut the ribbon on a new practice led by Dr. April Ulmer, who is now partnered with the Singing River network. Dr. Ulmer said, “Kids have unique needs, families have unique needs. Kids don’t always have the ability to explain to you what’s wrong or what’s bothering them. So being able to interpret what it is they’re trying to tell you is a unique skill.”

Dr. Ulmer’s gastroenterology practice, Kids and Tummies, has been around for eight years now, but this joint opening is to provide better access to care for kids and their families here on the Coast. Dr. Randy Roth said, “Pediatric illnesses is pretty common in newborns and young people. Often people think it’s an adult disease. But to have someone on the Coast that takes care of our adolescents and pediatric patients is pretty special.”

This practice provides digestive and nutritional care for children and families with locations now in Gulfport and Location.
