Construction work underway on War Memorial in Long Beach

The City of Long Beach is giving a heads up to residents, construction is currently taking place at Harper McCaughan Town Green.

That’s happening around the War Memorial area, the memorial was damaged during Hurricane Zeta.

City officials say repairs are now underway to restore and preserve the tribute.

They ask everyone visiting the area to use caution near the construction zone and to respect the work area while crews restore the memorial.
