Progress continues on Beach Park Bridge and Pier in Pascagoula

PASCAGOULA, Miss. (WXXV)- Work continues on the Beach Park Bridge and Pier in Pascagoula.

This work is part of Jackson County’s Pascagoula Beach Open Channel Outfalls Project. The new concrete walkway and railing is mostly finished.

Only the east side of the channel rail is left to go.

Once the bridge is complete, Beach Park Pier Improvements Project will get underway.

The plan is to replace and upgrade handrails and decking along 350 feet of the pier, starting at the end and working inland.

The upgrades are designed to improve accessibility, safety, and durability while enhancing the overall experience for park visitors.
