Bay High girls soccer coach Colby Adams reflects on MHSAA-NFHS Coach of the Year award

BAY ST. LOUIS, Miss. (WXXV) — Bay High School girls soccer coach Colby Adams has had a big year.

First, he helped lead the Lady Tigers to their first-ever state championship. Now, he’s been selected as the Girls Soccer Coach of the Year by the MHSAA and NFHS.

Adams isn’t just leading the girls on the field, he’s also making sure that they exemplify great character and attitude everywhere else.

“So I’m more of a ‘coach the individual first’ [coach],” Adams said. “I try to make sure that we put a huge emphasis on character development, because if the players are doing the things they’re supposed to do, then the results will take care of themselves.”

Congratulations, Coach Adams, on a job well done.
