Luis Lara wins 2025 Minor League Baseball Gold Glove Award

BILOXI, Miss. (WXXV) — Biloxi Shuckers standout Luis Lara has been named a 2025 Rawlings Gold Glove Award winner as an outfielder.

Lara made 126 starts in centerfield, playing in the outfield for a total of 1,078.2 innings. He recorded 10 outfield assists, which put him tied for fifth-most in Double-A baseball.

Lara also helped the Shuckers win their first South Division title since 2019 and led them to a playoff appearance.

He becomes the sixth Shucker to win the award, and Biloxi has had a Gold Glove Award winner for four consecutive seasons.
