The New Orleans Saints drop their eighth game of the year to the Rams 34-10.

It’s been a long season for the Saints already entering Week Nine 1-7. On Tuesday, the black and gold decided to make a big change at signal caller in hopes of seeing improvement against the Los Angeles Rams. This is the Saints Report sponsored by Mississippi Power.

It was the first start of the year for rookie quarterback Tyler Shough as the Saints traveled to Los Angeles to face Matthew Stafford and the 5-2 Rams. The black and gold defense held the Rams to just one touchdown in the first, but they’d remain at zero. The second quarter was the busiest for the two, Stafford with two passing touchdowns, Blake Grupe with a 39 yard field goal, and Tyler Shough with his first career NFL touchdown, which was an 11 yard pass to Juwan Johnson, making it 20-10 at half time.

Unfortunately that’d be the last time the Saints would do anything, staying stagnant at ten while the Rams tack on one touchdown each in the 3rd and 4th quarter.

The New Orleans Saints would drop their eighth game of the year, falling to the Rams 34-10. In the post game conference, Head Coach Kellen Moore said the Rams simply controlled the game and they didn’t create enough opportunities.

The Saints will remain on the road next Sunday as they travel to the Carolina Panthers for Week 10 with a noon kickoff.
