10/28 – Showers Overnight, Cooler and More Breezy on Wednesday

Showers move in late tonight, mainly between 2 and 5 a.m., with around .25″-.50″ of rainfall possible before skies begin to clear by Wednesday morning.
Expect a breezy and cooler midweek stretch, with highs in the upper 60s and gusty west to northwest winds continuing through Thursday at 10-20 mph and even gusting to 30 mph closer to the coast.
A Gale Warning goes into effect at midnight Wednesday (10/29) for the Mississippi Sound, Chandeleur Sound, and nearby coastal waters through Thursday morning, bringing rough marine conditions.
The rest of the week looks much calmer and sunny, but also a lot cooler, with nighttime temperatures in the 40s and pleasant afternoons near 70 degrees.
Halloween night will be perfect for heading out with the little ones, with temperatures in the 60s early in the evening, dropping into the upper 40s overnight. The weekend stays mostly sunny and mild, though a few light showers may return on Sunday before warmer weather settles back in early next week.
