MEMA offering reimbursement grants for FEMA compliant safe rooms

MEMA is offering reimbursement grants to help Mississippi homeowners install FEMA compliant safe rooms.

Funding is very limited for this program and applicants will be selected through a lottery process.

The window to apply opens on October 31 and remains open throughout the month of November.

This grant will reimburse 75 percent of eligible costs and up to $3,500 maximum.

Remember this grant is only for new safe rooms only that are officially approved.
