Turbulence ends Hurricane Hunters flight into Hurricane Melissa
The Keesler Air Force Based Hurricane Hunters studying Hurricane Melissa had to stop their observations of the storm again Tuesday due to extreme turbulence.
A plane with a crew from the 53rd Weather Reconnaissance Squadron returned to an operating base after encountering stronger than normal forces while entering the eye of the storm.
