End it for Good Drug Symposium

The non-profit ‘End it for Good’ put on an event this evening for the Gulf Coast community to openly discuss alternatives to the drug war.

The Mississippi-based organization hosts discussions across the state to explore how addressing drug use and addiction as health issues could reduce crime, overdose, and deaths.

Featured speakers and ‘End it for Good’ founder Christina Dent presented her research on the benefits of shifting from a drug war to drug health in front of an audience of Coast community members, law enforcement, and city officials. CEO Brett Montague said, “Our mission is to invite people to support approaches to drugs that prioritize life. So, everything that we do is purely invitational. We invite people to come have a conversation with us and to hear our message and create a dialogue where everything that we do is that because the keynote word in our mission is invite. Everything that we do is invitational, non-threatening, non-combative, and non-partisan. So, everyone is welcome at the table.”
