Court strikes down Biden-era gender rules
A federal judge has sided with Mississippi and 14 other states in striking down certain Biden-era federal policies on gender identity.
The states were challenging a health and human services rule that encourage healthcare provides to provide sex-change procedures.
The district court for Mississippi’s Southern District agreed with the states that HHS overstepped its authority by redefining sex discrimination under the Affordable Care Act.
This court order now applies to all 50 states, not just the states involved in the lawsuit.
