MS Department of Marine Resources shares hatchery bureau update

The Department of Marine Resources is sharing an update from their hatchery bureau.

A total of 275 southern flounder were stocked into local waters this week. 151 tagged flounders were raised at the Lyman Fish Hatchery.

Every release has potential to strengthen coastal fish populations and support future fisheries.

These efforts are a dynamic investment in conserving marine resources for the next generation.

If any anglers catch a southern flounder or spotted seatrout with a vie tag, they are asked to report it to MDMR through their website.
