Biloxi PD warning about scam

BILOXI, Miss. (WXXV)- The Biloxi Police are warning residents that a scam is going around where the caller claims to be the police department.

These numbers are using officers’ names and likeness; the department wants to remind everyone that they will never contact you demanding payment or personal information.

If you are concerned about a call, you can reach out to the department itself.

Biloxi police say they will not accept payment through bitcoin or pre-paid gift cards.

All court fines are paid in person or on the City of Biloxi’s website.
