Actors bring history to life at annual Ocean Springs Cemetery Tour

OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. (WXXV)-The annual Ocean Springs Cemetery Tour put on by the Mary C. O’Keefe Cultural Arts Center took place at the Bellande Cemetery Wednesday night.

Actors played the roles of those buried in the cemetery, telling the stories of their lives.

One of the actors portrayed an Ocean Springs police officer who was killed in the line of duty in the 1950s and others acted as land owners, fishermen, and doctors.

This is the fourth year for the event which has taken place at this same cemetery around Halloween each year.

If you missed Wednesday night’s performance, they are doing it again Thursday from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
