Firefighters put out two fires over the weekend in Harrison County

HARRISON COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- Harrison County Fire Rescue, CRTC, and the D’Iberville Fire Department were busy working to extinguish two structure fires on Saturday night.

The first was a home which was being renovated. HCFS says they were called to the scene at around two in the morning and the fire was through the roof of the building.

As that fire was being cleared, another fire was reported in a structure that houses building supplies and equipment off Highway 15 in east Harrison County.

The Mississippi Forestry Commission and U.S. Forest Service were called due to the fire spreading into the woods around the building.

Both structures were destroyed in the fires, but no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fires is still under investigation.
