Volleyball on the Mississippi Gulf Coast is home to Seven Regional Champions and 18 Playoff bound teams. Take a look at our post-season breakdown!

Now that the regular season is over, we’re going to take a deep dive into postseason play for our local volleyball teams. First and foremost we want to shout out our District Champions! The Gulf Coast is home to seven different programs that finished district play undefeated as winners of their region. They will also host their first playoff game! The following teams are your district champions:

Class 7A Region 4: Ocean Springs (12-0)

Class 6A Region 3: George County (10-0)

Class 6A Region 4: Hancock (10-0)

Class 4A Region 7: Poplarville (8-0)

Class 4A Region 8: Pass Christian (8-0)

Class 3A Region 8: Our Lady Academy (8-0)

Class 1A Region 8: Resurrection Catholic (5-0)

That’s seven District Championship teams, and 11 other Coast schools will be joining them in the post-season! Congratulations to the following teams for advancing to the playoffs:

Class 7A: Ocean Springs, Gulfport, Biloxi and Harrison Central

Class 6A: George County, Hancock, Picayune, Long Beach and Gautier

Class 5A: Vancleave, Stone and East Central

Class 4A: Poplarville, Pass Christian and Bay High

Class 3A: Our Lady Academy and St. Patrick

Class 1A: Resurrection Catholic

Classes 5A-7A will begin playoffs next Tuesday, October 7th and Classes 1A-4A will begin this Saturday, October 4th. Best of luck to all 18 of our local volleyball teams as they begin their roads to a State Championship!
