Former Greyhound Garrett Crochet dominates for the Red Sox and earns First Playoff Win.

In his first playoff start of his MLB career, Red Sox left-handed pitcher Garrett Crochet showed that he was truly made for the moment.The Ocean Springs alum started for Boston Tuesday night during their Wildcard game againts the New York Yankees.

Through 7 2/3 innings, Crochet allowed four hits, one earned run, no bases on balls, and struck out 11 batters, earning his first ever playoff win. What’s even crazier than that is that his 117th pitch was the fastest of the night, coming in hot at 100.2 miles per hour.

On the season, Crochet improves to 18-5, a 2.95 ERA, and 255 strikeouts.
