Dredging operations set to begin at Gulfport Harbor
GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)- The Department of Marine Resources is alerting the public that dredging operations are starting at the Gulfport Harbor this week.
The operation area includes the bar channel area located between buoys 6 and 25.
Materials from the dredge will be brought to the disposal site located on the west side of the navigation channel.
Dredging activities are expected to last a month.
The operators can be contacted on VHF Channels 13 and 16.
Mariners are advised to use caution when in the area.
