George County High School hosts inaugural Hall of Fame induction ceremony

LUCEDALE, Miss. (WXXV) — Saturday night brought memories of every big play, every championship and every next-level athlete to George County High School, as the athletic department established its Hall of Fame.

The Hall of Fame has been long overdue for a school that has produced as many standout athletes as George County has.

2025 inductees include the 1955 Agricola High School girls basketball state championship team, the 1976 George County girls basketball state championship team, the 1997-2001 state champion girls track and field dynasty, Coach Bill Martin, Coach Fred Gill, Coach Rudolph Sellers, Janice Lawrence-Braxton, Mitchell Lee Street, Dalenah Tanner, Eric Moulds, Christy Fairley and Justin Steele.

WXXV News 25’s Elizabeth Keen spoke with a few inductees and has more from Lucedale.
