Huntington Learning Center’s September Teacher of the Month: D’Iberville Middle School’s Misty Chastain

D’IBERVILLE, Miss. (WXXV) — Each month, WXXV and Huntington Learning Center team up to honor one deserving educator in South Mississippi.

September’s Teacher of the Month is Misty Chastain, a 6th and 7th grade special education inclusion teacher from D’Iberville Middle School! Chastain has spent nearly a decade with the school and loves seeing her students thrive in the real world. She was nominated by her husband, Bishop Chastain.

“Misty takes the time to help each individual student she has and will also help any other student that she may not teach directly,” Bishop wrote in his nomination. “She builds her kids up and put them in position to succeed.”
