Groundbreaking for Trent Lott International Airport project in Moss Point

MOSS POINT, Miss. (WXXV)- Jackson County, state, and federal leaders broke ground today on new improvements at Trent Lott International Airport.

The project will add a new parking apron and connecting taxi-way to the runway area and improve the existing taxiway lighting.

As a result, the taxiway will allow for more aircraft to park at the airport and allow for future hangar expansion.

This is an $8.7 million investment and the funding comes from local airport funds and RESTORE Act funds.
