Coast Electric donates accessible tools for D’Iberville High student

D’IBERVILLE, Miss. (WXXV)- A wheel-chair bound D’Iberville High student just received a big surprise as she looks ahead to her future!

Ellie Gautreaux participates in the carpentry program at DHS and thanks to a donation from Coast Electric, she now has adaptive tools and equipment so that she’s able to better participate in the coursework.

Donated tools include a new accessible drill press, sanding belts, and different types of saws.

Harrison County School District leaders say these tools will help future students with disabilities participate in the career tech program in the years to come as well.
