Saints Report: New Orleans suffers toughest loss of season, falls to Seattle 44-13
The New Orleans Saints faced its first road test against Seattle on Sunday, but the Black and Gold fell behind quickly and suffered a 44-13 loss to remain winless through three games.
The Black and Gold struggled from the get-go against the Seahawks, giving up 21 points in the first quarter and 17 in the second. The Saints headed to the locker room trailing 38-6, with those few points coming from a pair of field goals by Blake Grupe.
Seattle’s lead gave them the opportunity to bring in backup quarterback Drew Lock. He didn’t find much success on the field in his second-half outing, but neither did New Orleans. The Saints had just one scoring drive in the second half that ended with Spencer Rattler finding Jack Stoll for a 13-yard touchdown reception.
Up next, New Orleans will travel to take on another tough test in Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills.
