Review of officer involved shootings across the state complete
Mississippi Attorney General Lynn Fitch’s office has completed its review of seven Mississippi officer-involved shootings, including three South Mississippi cases.
The AG’s Office says use of force by officers was justified in a July 27, 2024 shooting in Gulfport and a July 19th, 2024 shooting in Biloxi.
A Harrison County grand jury found there was no criminal conduct committed by a Gulfport police detective in a May 22, 2024 shooting that took place during an attempted narcotics stop on Dedeaux Road.
