Shuckers gearing up to host second game of SLDS

BILOXI, Miss. (WXXV) — The Biloxi Shuckers dropped their first game of the Southern League Division Series to the Montgomery Biscuits, but they have a chance to get back on track at home.

The Shuckers will host the Biscuits at Keesler Federal Park on Thursday, with first pitch set for 6:35 p.m.

It’s an exciting opportunity for the team to play in front of a good crowd and attempt to force a winner-take-all third game.

Biloxi arrived back in town on Wednesday and quickly got to work preparing for the matchup.

WXXV had the opportunity to speak to manager Joe Ayrault and right-handed pitcher Jaron DeBerry, who both explained what playing such a big game on the Mississippi Coast means to them.
