Introducing our WXXV Student Athlete of the Week, St. Patrick’s Parker Talley!

Senior St. Patrick swimmer Parker Talley has been a team member since the seventh grade, now serving as a team captain and racing in a variety of solo events and relays.

Talley excels in his swimming lane for the Fighting Irish, with his top event being the 500-yard freestyle. He set a personal best in last season’s State Championship, finishing the race in just 5 minutes, 41.61 seconds. Talley also helped the St. Patrick Boys Swim Team win the 2024 South State Championship and led the 200 and 400 yard relay teams to third place finishes at state.

On top of his success in the pool, Talley is incredibly gifted academically, with a 4.1 GPA and a 35 on his ACT. In fact, he was just accepted to Mississippi State’s Shackouls Honors College to pursue mechanical engineering! Talley is also very involved in his school and community.
