Southern Miss professor awarded prestigious Bennett Endowed Professorship
Dr. Vijay Rangachari, a professor of chemistry and biochemistry and biochemistry in the school of mathematics and natural sciences at Southern Miss, has been selected for the 2025-2027 Bennett Endowed Professorship.
This award supports the professor’s research efforts and includes sponsorship of the Biennial Bennett Symposium.
Dr. Rangachari is recognized internationally for his research on how certain proteins are involved in neurological diseases.
He shared his gratitude, saying he is truly humbled to receive this honor and thanked those who nominated him as well as the selection committee.
