Mississippi Power volunteers clean up Gulfport Lake

GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)-About 30 Mississippi Power volunteers spent time cleaning Gulfport Lake as a part of Mississippi Power’s Renew our Rivers Program.

Volunteers recovered all sorts of debris including plastic lawn furniture, a car bumper, and tires.

The program has been around for more than 25 years and they’ve collected more than 425 tons of debris from waterways over the years.
