National Day of Prayer

In observance of National Day of Prayer, a ceremony was held at Biloxi City Hall this morning.
Participants came out to lift up our nation, our state and the City of Biloxi. Biloxi’s Chief of Police John Miller led an invocation for first responders. Other church and community members led prayers for local schools, businesses and for a “moral awakening.” Hundreds across the Coast were out this morning in recognition of the event. Event coordinator Carleen Hall said, “I love it because we came from many different denominations. We weren’t just one group, we were many and that’s what the body of Christ truly is about. I just ask that each person would daily have contact with the lord because it is a relationship, not a religion.”
This is the 65th anniversary of the National Day of Prayer and the 22nd year of observation in Biloxi.
