Man arrested on offense of possession of child pornography in Picayune

PICAYUNE, Miss. (WXXV)- A Picayune man was arrested on the offense of possession of child pornography.

Officers of the Picayune Police Department responded to a business on Frontage Road on August 27.

Upon arrival, the officers made contact with members of a social media team that specialize in child predator operations.

The team informed the officers that Garland Jeff Brady had been communicating with them and arrived at the location to meet what he believed was a minor child for sexual purposes.

Officers made contact with Brady and learned that he also had child pornography on his phone.

Brady was arrested and booked into the Pearl River County Jail for the offense of possession of child pornography. After his initial appearance in court on Thursday, he was denied bond.
