Jackson County Chamber honors local businesses at annual Anchor Awards
JACKSON COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)-The annual Anchor Awards, organized by the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce, took place Wednesday.
The awards recognize outstanding small businesses and nonprofit organizations in the community.
The awards honor those considered anchors of the community for their remarkable contributions to the area.
This was the 17th edition of the annual awards.
The event featured a breakfast and had various awards that was presented including the Grit Awards for nonprofits, the Thrive Awards for businesses based on their size, and the Pioneer Award for new businesses.
Special honors like the President’s Award and Champion Award were also given for exceptional community support and other related efforts.
