Investigation continues into swimming death on Horn Island

JACKSON COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- The Jackson County coroner has identified the man who died after a Sunday swimming accident on Horn Island.

According to our media partners, the Sun Herald and Deputy Coroner James Prisock, 29-year-old Jordan King was with a group of people on the west side of the island when he jumped into shallow water.

He died while en route to an area hospital.

The coroner says this incident is not considered a drowning and an official cause of death has not been determined.
